Cow Neck in the Revolution
“Cow Neck in the Revolution,” created with the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society, examines how the area now called Port Washington experienced the Revolutionary War: British occupation for seven years, forced quartering of troops, children pressed into service, pirate attacks, residents who fought, those who aided the cause secretly, and Loyalists. The exhibit is on display in the History Center Annex June through December 2026.
